Session: Emerging Technologies in Data Analytics

This session explores novel technologies that are evolving in the area of data analytics and which have the potential to impact the chemical industry. A primary goal of this session is knowledge transfer, for presenters and participating practitioners to share insights on technical subjects that audience members may be curious to learn more about, but with which they have little or no experience. Presentations involving unconventional datasets, such as text, audio, images, video, and social media data, or new analytics methodologies such as deep learning, are welcome in this session. This session also seeks to examine the ways in which big data is inspiring innovation in areas such as predictive maintenance, cloud computing, model-based control, databases, data lakes and warehouses.
