(6a) Distillation Column Dynamics

Dynamic process simulations are increasingly popular for modeling the transient responses of distillation columns. The effectiveness of these simulations greatly depends on the models used to represent the hydraulics of a distillation column. In this paper, using transient data from FRI’s distillation columns, models for estimating the dynamics of distillation columns will be examined and evaluated.
