(141a) Practical Application of Advancing Process Safety Tools for the Petroleum Refining and Petrochemical Industries

Over the past 5 years, AFPM and API have developed process safety tools for use by the refining and petrochemical industries to assist in improving process safety across the entire industry.  The suite of programs are called Advancing Process Safety.  This paper will describe what industry is seeing in the way of process safety performance, the tools and programs available to these industries to help them improve performance, and practical ways companies are using the tools available to improve performance.
