(92c) Development of Shale Oil & Gas Programs - Critical Design Considerations for Economic Viability and Sustainability

The quantity and quality of crude oil & natural gas (from producing fields) change with time. These changes are large enough to require design and operational flexibility of the processing plants.  Establishing trends for these changes are also very challenging.  In addition, dynamics of the oil, gas, and gas liquids pricing bring additional demands in operational flexibility requirements.  The paper will present these issues and discuss approaches to address the challenges.
