(7d) Mitsubishi Advanced Technology for On-Purpose Butadiene Production

Mitsubishi Chemical Corp. has developed a novel on-purpose butadiene production technology. This is an oxidative dehydrogenation process from crude butene to crude butadiene called “BTcB”.

Mitsubishi proprietary catalyst’s characteristics are high selectivity to butadiene, high butenes conversion, lower waste and long catalyst life. All industrial C4 hydrocarbon mixtures, Raf-2, FCC C4, and 1-butene can be processed by this technology.

Technology license for BTcB is available for all butadiene producers and consumers globally.
