(48v) Design and Scale up of the Dispersion of Nanoparticles for Newly Formulated Oils

This presentation will describe the process of preparing a concentrated dispersion of nanoparticles which constitutes the intermediate product for a newly formulated oil wfor the automotive industry. 25% w:w of MoS2 particles were dispersed in an oil using two types of dispersing agents. The break up of nanoparcle clusters was achieved using a stirred bead mill firstly under batch conditions. Once the formulation is finalised, the process was scaled up by a factor of 10.
