(38b) Overview of Steam Trap Types and Their Operation

Steam traps are the quietly functioning devices underneath the pipe racks of our manufacturing facilities, giving the occasional breath of condensate/steam to the atmosphere. However they are not all created equally or function the same way. This presentation will give an overview of various types of steam traps, how they operate, and review steam trap selection for common applications.
