2014 Spring Meeting & 10th Global Congress on Process Safety
(118a) Tutorial
People are different. These differences can be measured and used in a pro-active way in assembling teams, choosing career paths, and understanding how individuals and teams deal with stressful situations. Two key assessments instruments, the Myers Briggs social style and the Kirton KAI™ problem solving style can be used to very accurately assess an individual’s style of relating and problem solving. These characteristics will also affect a team’s effectiveness.
This tutorial session will review how these assessments are used and provide participants with a basic understanding of their styles and interactive exercises to demonstrate the use, impact, and effectiveness of this type of information.
