(78b) Licensure--An Academic Perspective

Most Chemical Engineering faculty members are not licensed.  Why?  Is it important for faculty to be licensed?  Most undergraduates take the Fundamentals of Engineering exam but do not take the Professional Engineering exam.  Why?  Should faculty be licensed?  Is licensure important for faculty who are conducting research?  Should we encourage faculty to obtain their PE license?  In this presentation these questions will be discussed.
