- (19a) Acid Gas Removal Unit: The Challenge of Deep COS Removal
COS is one of the potential sulfur containing components in natural gas processing and as such has to be removed for safety and environmental reasons. Due to the chemical and physical properties of the molecule, the removal can be challenging especially when a deep sulfur removal specification is being targeted.
Although various options for removal can be employed, BASF’s aMDEA™ technology can offer a significantly deeper COS removal rate for specific applications such as LNG. BASF as one of the leading suppliers of acid gas removal technologies will present on the benefits and the advantages of deep COS removal with aMDEA™ along with relevant case studies to demonstrate the same.
