- (52b) Energy Conservation ProgramReduces Costs and CO2 Emissions
Energy consumption in a refinery is a major cost and source of carbon emissions. Higher energy consumption reduces a refiner's income. Executing a well-organized and objective Energy Conservation Program reduces operating costs and improves refinery carbon emissions and income.
This paper discusses the steps to implement an Energy Conservation Program and how it can improve refinery operating costs and reduce carbon emissions. In conclusion, energy conservation increases profitability and reduces carbon emissions.
