(50d) FCC Gasoline and C4 Streams for BTX Production
Author
Jin, W. - Presenter, GTC Technology
With gasoline moving into a relative surplus compared to other refined products, new technology can be used to upgrade the value of streams from the FCC unit. This presentation presents a commercial application of petrochemical production from FCC by producing high-value aromatics from the FCC naphtha and C4 streams.
The presentation outline will be:
* Declining demand and restrictions in government regulations resulting in surplus FCC gasoline, squeezing the profit margin for gasoline producers.
* New FCC that can be used for maximizing propylene thus generating more BTX in FCC gasoline
* Integrated technologies commercially available to purify BTX from FCC gasoline; thus generating more BTX from FCC gasoline non-aromatic fraction and C4 streams
