(49c) Implementation of Process Safety Management Into Diverse Corporate Cultures

The successful implementation of a DuPont-based Process Safety Management system in non-US facilities and companies faces cultural challenges. These challenges are expressed in the implementation of the elements of PSM and in the management of PSM at the corporate, business, and site levels. DuPont has developed a transformational model, built upon CCPS PSM Implementation guidance, which addresses these issues and drives sustainable improvement through process, organization, technology, and people. The speaker will present examples that illustrate some of the challenges that have been encountered across the globe, and how they been addressed.
