This paper is related to production of emulsion in microstructured channels. There are many publications dealing with production of fine droplets in microchannels. Although they were successful in producing emulsions with very sharp size distrubtions, it is hard to control the si ze of droplets.
The most commonly used technique to control the droplet size is to manipulate the flow rate of the continuous phase. However, in this method, the concentration of the emulsion is also changed, and when fine droplets are produced, only sparse emulsion can be obtained.
In this study, we propose a new method to produce size-controlled emulsions. The details are to be presented at the conference.
