(266d) Modelling of Continuous Rotating Drum Mixers for Surface Renewal

For many processes in continuous rotating drums, the conditioning of the solids requires continuous exposure to the surface of the rolling bed in order to achieve thorough conversion of the substrate or even coating of the particle surfaces. This paper will show a unified model developed for continuous rotating drums for operations where surface renewal is important.
