Remedial Process Optimization (RPO) is a program management tool that provides a systematic, iterative approach to evaluate remedial actions and to update and optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of a remedial system to reach cleanup goals. The strategy of the Air Force Optimization Program is to use clean-up technologies and funding effectively through optimization evaluations, protection of human health and the environment, and accelerated site closure.

This course will provide participants with an understanding of how to implement RPO and incorporate new and innovative technologies where needed to meet environmental restoration requirements.
