(207f) Design and Optimization Process of Solvent Extraction in E.W unit of Sarcheshmeh Copper Infactory

This paper expresses the position and importance of organic phase in the production process, after stating the general procedure of aqueous influx (combination of water and Sulfuric acid) on oxide copper stones as well as solvent extraction. In the process of solvent extraction, organic phase is placed among the electrolyte aqueous phase in the form of intermediate cycle to perform the copper ions exchange. Here, some organic solvents influxes the process which in turn damages different parts of electrolyte. After stating the damages and its effect on production quality, the method of eliminating and separating it from aqueous phase by flotation system is studied. Considering the importance of these operations in the efficiency and production purities, using the experimental results, first the outmost amount of organic recovery by flotation process is studied. Then for selecting the optimized process, the existed Jameson flotation system is compared with other flotation systems followed by expressing their advantages and disadvantages. The obtained results through analyzing the performed experiences not only proves the efficiency of flotation process for separating the small amount of organic substance, but also reveals the outcome of optimizing the existed flotation system.
