The EPA has reported that 90% of all chemical plant and refinery volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions come from 1% of the leaking sources. The Hawk Infrared (IR)camera is one of the latest available developments providing a method to quickly locate these highly leaking sources. This technology has many advantages over the traditional VOC detection devices. This Hawk IR camera mounted on a helicopter has also been recently used by the environmental regulatory agencies to locate VOC emission sources over refineries and petrochemical plants in Texas and Louisiana.
