This session invites submissions on particle engineering and material sciences for active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs)—including small, medium, and large molecules—as well as excipients, to support pharmaceutical formulation design and development. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: •Novel process designs to achieve precise product specifications. •Coprocessing technologies to control product physical properties •Methods to understand, control, and manipulate particle attributes such as size, shape, morphology, and surface properties. •Scale-up strategies for particle engineering and their impact on formulation performance. •Advancements in experimental, theoretical, and computational tools for characterizing and predicting particle properties. •Particle engineering approaches for amorphous drug products, including solid dispersions and co-amorphous systems. •Case studies in material science that influence drug substance and drug product process design. This session aims to highlight cutting-edge technologies and scientific approaches that drive innovation in particle design, solid-state characterization, and material science applications for pharmaceutical development.
