(389i) Understanding Photoacidity: How Good Is DFT?

Photoacids are critical for applications like chemical and biological sensing, reaction control, photolithography etc. Their performance is often limited by trade-offs between acidity, stability, and optical control. In this work, we combine quantum chemical modeling and spectroscopic experiments to design and understand photoacids with tailored properties.
