Towards a Smart and Democratized Hub for Modeling and Simulations

In-silico modeling approaches enable accelerated development while conserving materials and human effort. Density Functional Theory (DFT) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) in particular, have demonstrated significant value in this space. However, their broader adoption is often limited by the technical complexity involved in setting up and executing simulations.
To lower the barrier to entry for advanced modeling and simulation, BMS and ZS developed a democratized web-based platform, PD Nexus, and a centralized repository for all modeling assets, STEAM. Together, these solutions create a unified ecosystem for modeling, empowering scientists across disciplines to access, learn and contribute to digital assets within BMS.
This workshop will showcase these platforms and demonstrate how:
• PD Nexus allows users to trigger and analyze complex simulations through a simple and intuitive interface
• Digital gaming strategies like user achievement and contribution credits can help promote engagement and reuse
• Advanced modeling and simulation improve efficiency and scalability
Speakers:
Jose Tabora, Senior Scientific Director, BMS
Prashant Kumar, CMC Lead, ZS
