(19a) Reflections on Prof. T. Alan Hatton's Contributions to Chemical Engineering

This presentation offers personal reflections on some of the many contributions that Prof. T. Alan Hatton has made to the fields of chemical engineering and energy. In chemical engineering, I will focus on his work invigorating and modernizing the very successful, long-standing School of Chemical Engineering Practice at MIT. In energy, I will focus particularly on innovations in separations technologies that are critical to the energy transition and to addressing climate change.
