The purpose of this study was to determine how the addition of metal oxides to biomass samples in a flame combustion environment affects ash deposition on metal mesh surfaces. Specifically, the yield of adhered ash after combustion experiments was measured, followed by SEM-EDS analysis. In addition, the melting point of the ash was measured using a microscope with a heating stage.
