(128b) Proposal Writing Strategies for Fundamental Research Proposals for NSF

This workshop, conducted by a former program director of NSF’s Engineering Directorate, will discuss strategies for putting together fundamental research proposals, typical of the NSF. The workshop will discuss the NSF’s merit review criteria of intellectual merit and broader impacts. The talk will discuss the importance of motivation of the problem, research approach, and describing the intellectual merit and broader impacts of the project. The workshop will be followed with informal networking with current NSF program directors.
