Jeff Siirola has been a Trustee of CACHE (Computer Aids for Chemical Engineering) since 1984. He served as the organizations President from 1990-1992. Jeff has had many accomplishments in CACHE, but what he is probably best known for is his leadership in executing dozens of “Foundations of...” conferences sponsored by CACHE. He was able to draw upon his planning and scheduling training as a systems engineer to help CACHE build an outstanding portfolio of conferences that are known for their outstanding quality. Moreover, he built a sustainable model that has allowed these conferences to thrive. In this talk, we will review some of the milestones from Jeff’s conference planning activities.
