In my presentation, I have several business cases on opportunities for potential collaboration with academic researchers and industry sponsors on innovation and technology transfer: (1) customer discovery for composite materials for local businesses in Louisiana, (2) business intelligence approaches to sustainable textile materials from natural resources, (3) by-products from food processing with potential health benefits from a US-based specialty food company, (4) coconut processing by-products valuation through technology transfer from an agricultural research university in partnership with a forest products research institute, and (5) chemical process economic analysis of the chemical process systems of these PhD-led companies, leading to supplier negotiations, customer-base expansion and sustainability in their respective supply chains. Chemical engineering fundamentals are applied to their respective process technologies that lead to solving technical problems of customers, and addressing global sustainability goals. These case studies appeal to academic researchers who want to spur innovative approaches to solving technical problems and also to business leaders in the global marketplace.
