(210b) NSF: MRI/Mid-Scale Research Infrastructure Opportunities

This talk will cover the main goals, parts of the proposal and review criteria for the Major Research instrumentation Program (NSF 23-519) and Mid-scale Research Infrastructure solicitations (NSF 24-598 and NSF 23-570) of the National Science Foundation. These solicitations aim to build research capacity. MRI awards are up to $4 million and support the acquisition or development of a multi-user instrument. Awards made under Mid-Scale Research Infrastructure may include any combination of facilities, equipment, instrumentation, or computational hardware or software, and the necessary human capital in support of the same.
