(208a) Exploring Effective Methods in Active Learning: A Comparative Analysis

Active learning is a pedagogical approach that enhances student engagement and comprehension by shifting the focus from passive reception to active participation. This paper explores the most effective methods used in active learning. These methods include, problem-Based Learning (PBL), Flipped classroom, Inquiry-Based Learning, Case-Based Learning (CBL), Peer Teaching and collaborative Learning, Gamification and Game-Based Learning. Both advantages and disadvantages of each method will be discussed to offer a comprehensive understanding of their efficacy. Finally, a personal experience will be discussed.
