(427d) Continuous Learning

Continuous learning is essential for chemical engineers to keep up with the fast-paced technology transformation while developing competitive and innovation skills in the workplace. Many emerging concepts, such as machine learning and sustainability, have rapidly become vital or even required skills for the chemical industry. In this session, we discuss the continuous learning sources which can facilitate timely and systematic learning of new knowledge. We will review the eLearning courses offered by AIChE and other academic universities. We will also discuss how to leverage the opportunities offered by many industrial companies for career development advising and employee development plans.
