Hydrogen’s versatility across industries like transportation, manufacturing, and energy production makes it an attractive option to address global energy demands while advancing sustainability. As constraints and environmental regulations become more stringent, ensuring high-purity hydrogen has become increasingly important. To achieve this, Chemical Design’s hydrogen purification systems, which utilize temperature swing adsorption, are widely sought after for their compact design, efficient oxygen and moisture removal, cost-effectiveness, and zero-loss operation. However, hydrogen’s unique chemical and physical properties present challenges, including uneven heating and cooling, inaccurate flow measurements, leakage risks, and material compatibility concerns. This discussion explores these issues and provides some recommendations for enhancing safe and reliable operation.
