We have recently discovered a scalable, sustainable and safer method for producing high-value and stable porous silicon for battery anodes. Currently, we are undertaking steps towards commercialising this technology via building plans to spin-out a company called AmpliSi. AmpliSi aims to commercialise scalable, cost-effective, and sustainable porous silicon for next-generation lithium-ion batteries. With growing global demand for electric vehicles (EVs) and energy storage solutions, battery technology remains a bottleneck. AmpliSi’s novel silicon anode material delivers higher energy density, better performance, and seamless integration into existing manufacturing lines, providing a viable and scalable alternative to traditional graphite anodes. This presentation will provide an overview of our commercialisation journey and the business plan for the spin-out company.
