Lignocellulose based materials have emerged as promising alternatives to plastics due to their renewability, biodegradability, and sustainability. This presentation highlights our recent studies on functional materials from cellulose and wood, such as films, foams, and aerogels and their applications in energy, packaging, and environmental sectors, including harvesting ambient mechanical energy via triboelectric nanogenerators for self-powered sensing systems, smart packaging, and removing pollutants from air and water.
