This session pertains to sustainable products, reactions and processes, specifically focussing on: · Availability and renewability of feedstock, building blocks, reagents, and catalysts used, · Optimisation of process efficiency, · Employing renewable energy sources, · Systems- or life-cycle considerations for the design, manufacture, use, and end-of-life management, · Assessment, quantification and reduction of impact on human health and the environment, · Balancing circularity with societal and economic impact, · Reduction and valorisation of waste Papers in this session represent the above chemistry and also the chemical engineering necessary to make it operational.
