2024 AIChE Annual Meeting

Session: Sustainable approaches for chemical production

Achievement of Net Zero 2050 goal requires the development of new chemical production processes, which deploy sustainably sourced feedstocks and energy sources. Examples of such technologies include, but are not limited to electrochemical methods, use of biomass, combined carbon capture and conversion. The session will include diverse examples of completely new, disruptive technologies. The contributions showcased in this session focus on novel concepts, that are not broadly adopted by the chemical industry yet. Both experimental and modeling research in this area is welcome.
