This session invites experimental and theoretical work focused on the synthesis and application of low-dimensional thermal-, electro-, and photo-catalysts, evaluation of their electronic, structural, and catalytic properties, and analysis of their distinctiveness from three-dimensional bulk materials and nanoparticles. Examples of low-dimensional materials include but are not limited to atomically dispersed metals, single-atom catalysts, single-atom alloys, graphene, phosphorene, hexagonal boron nitride, 2D transition metal oxides, 2D transition metal dichalcogenides, MXenes, Xenes, layered double hydroxides, metal and oxide nanosheets, nanowires, quantum wells, 2D zeolite, 2D COF, and MOF structures.
