High School ChemE Car Intro
Our Goal was to introduce Chemical Engineering to high school students through a safe version of ChemE Car. The way we accomplish this is by replacing the electrochemistry aspect of the car with a battery pack and instead talking about the concepts and examples of electrochemistry and teaching the students about them. Though we create a competition where we introduce the concepts of the much safer clock reaction and have the students learn about and apply the chemistry to compete in a ChemE Car Competition amongst themselves. We want to do this to help market chemical engineering to high school students who may not want to do it because of the lack of physical interaction we have with the materials we use.
