(569s) Fe-Beta Zeolite for Simultaneous NH3-SCR of NOx and N2o with NH3: Effect of Chemical Composition and Preparation Method on Catalytic Performance
Author
Simultaneous selective catalytic reduction of NOx and N2O by NH3 (Sim NH3-SCR) is an ideal solution from exhaust compared to original catalytic process. Therefore, developing efficient heterogeneous catalysts for Sim NH3-SCR is of industrial importance. Iron-exchanged zeolite beta (Fe-beta) is a promising catalyst for this reaction due to its highly active for NOx conversion as well as N2O direct catalytic decomposition. Here, the effect of chemical composition and preparation method on the catalytic properties of Fe-beta zeolite for Sim-SCR has been investigated. Our findings revealed optimal conditions for maximizing the Sim-SCR performance of Fe-beta considering the Si/Al ratio, Fe sources, and loading method studied here. The comprehensive characterization results show the chemical composition and most efficient method to form Fe species over Fe-beta zeolite catalysts.
