2024 AIChE Annual Meeting

(4op) P.S. I Love You

Research Interests: Process Safety (P.S.), Risk Engineering, Computational Fluid Mechanics, Fire & Explosion Modeling, LNG Facility and Natural Gas Transmission Pipeline Safety.

I have developed risk models for the gas transmission pipeline to calculate probability of failure (POF) and consequences (COF) to evaluate risk and integrity of the system. I have published research paper on "LNG pool fire simulation for domino effect analysis" using ANSYS-CFX CFD tool in the Journal of Reliability Engineering & System Safety (2016) and "Hydrate-Induced Vibration in an Offshore Pipeline" using ANSYS-FLUENT in SPE Journal (2020).

Teaching Interests: Currently I teach undergraduate level courses, Thermodynamics (+labs), Fluid Mechanics (+labs), Offshore Safety & Loss Control, Materials & Equipment Design, Codes and Specifications in Petroleum Industries and Engineering Economics (+labs).

I am interested to tech undergraduate level courses on the listed courses I teach above plus: Process Safety, Risk Control, Pipeline and Asset Integrity, Fire Dynamics, Process Systems Design, Industrial Safety and Loss Prevention.

I have not only strong academic and industrial experiences in Process Safety, also I am passionate about it. That's why I've titled my abstract as: Process Safety, I Love You. I am looking forward to contribute for teaching, applying for the research/teaching grants and consultancy.
