Research Interests The Werghi HetCat Group specializes in developing catalytic materials for advanced chemical reactions and technologies. My research focuses on enhancing heterogeneous catalysis by optimizing classical oxide surfaces and increasing their functionality using Surface Organometallic Chemistry (SOMC) and colloidal chemistry techniques. Throughout my academic journey, I have delved into catalyst design, explored complex reactions, and gained a deep understanding of structure-activity relationships. My current work aims to improve the stability of catalytic species and achieve precise active site structure.
