My interest is in researching engineering principles and applications to create sustainable processes and practices and understand new biotechnologies, such as microorganisms, to optimize and improve the stressed FEW nexus and other biochemical processes. I aim to apply chemical and biochemical engineering principles to enhance and set the basis for sustainable agriculture, bioremediation practices, and biochemical methods. I am also interested in recuperating the energy embedded in wasted food, which I strengthened during my graduate studies. In addition, I plan to research new techniques and methodologies to enhance chemical engineering education. Any improvement to our living ways must come with improvements in education so future generations understand the world and our contributions better. I firmly believe the critical component to improving and preserving our systems lies in education.
