(488e) Relevance of Particle Technology in Bio Based Manufacturing.

A proper understanding of particle technology is important during recovery, purification and formulation of fermentation based products. In this talk I review common particle related challenges we face in Industrial Biotechnology during our manufacturing steps and how particle properties impact performance of our end products. The types of products include enzymes, probiotics, food ingredients and biopolymers.
