A chemical engineer's perspective on the sustainability challenges facing the planet today and the important role of product and process innovation. Sustainability has become a critical issue with significantly increased regulatory and stakeholder expectations. As we look to a more sustainable future, it's clear that technology will play a key role in driving global decarbonization efforts. This presentation will focus on addressing the world's most pressing sustainability challenges (including climate change, circularity, nature, water, and substances of concern) using science and innovation and how DuPont is working on lowering its footprint and expanding its handprint through its 2030 sustainability goals and its specific approach to each. Talk will detail how DuPont is managing sustainability across the enterprise including tools to evaluate the sustainability profile of products, how DuPont is managing increasing regulatory requirements, developing new products and solutions, and an effective management governance structure for sustainability to meet customer, investor, employee and other stakeholder needs.
