The Education Division will survey departments in the US and Canada over the teaching of transport phenomena and applications in spring and fall of 2024. Equilibrium-based separations will be included. The spring survey asks only about the number of courses within the area, their topics, and a contact faculty member. The fall survey will follow up with a customized survey for each faculty member. Preliminary results have been received from 39 institutions. Departments most commonly have 3 or 4 courses in this broad area (38% of respondents each). Having fewer courses is more common than more than 3 or 4: 8% have 1 course, 10% have 2, and 5% have 5 or more. More details will be presented at the meeting after the second survey has been completed.
