In the carbon capture and storage infrastructures, pipelines ensure continuous transport of CO2 from the source facilities operating in a continuous manner, such as fossil fuel power plants, to the storage site. The CO2 streams ready for sequestration typically contain impurities which cause additional challenges.
This presentation will review key challenges of CO2 transport via pipelines that are related to its integrity, flow assurance, and health, safety and environmental factors.
