(331d) Direct Air Capture-Leadership and Culture Matter

Oxy is making bold moves to commercialize Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology. DAC technology removes CO2 from the atmosphere and securely stores it deep underground or uses the CO2 as a feedstock. The UN IPCC has stated that DAC technology needs to be removing CO2 from the atmosphere at the multi-billion tonnes per year scale by 2050 in order to mitigate the worst effects of human-caused climate change. This presentation will highlight how leadership can set the culture to accelerate innovation.

Dr. Zeller received the AIChE Management Award in 2017 and in 2022 received the Winthrop-Sears Medal for exceptional innovation and entrepreneurship from The Chemist's Club.
