In the chemical industry, solvents are very useful and have a large number of applications due to their ability to dissolve, suspend or extract other substances. Over the decades, thanks to the knowledge acquired about its thermodynamic properties, its applications have evolved, and its applications have expanded. In this work, new dynamic viscosity (η) and density (ρ) were simultaneously measured for pure solvents (tetrahydrofuran, ethyl acetate, and thiophene) are reported a temperature range of (293 to 353) K and pressures up to 50 MPa. The experimental system consists of a coil capillary viscometer coupled with a vibrating tube densimeter (VTD). The Lagurette method, which uses water and vacuum as reference fluids, was used to calibrate the VTD. The relative expanded uncertainty (coverage factor k = 2 ) of 1.2 % for the dynamic viscosity and 0.21 % for the density considering the impurities of the compounds. The reliability of the equipment used was verified by determining and comparing the dynamic viscosity and density of methanol with the data published in the international literature, resulting a maximum deviation of 10 μPa s for viscosity and 0.40 kg*m−3 for density. From the experimental density data, the isothermal compressibility and isobaric thermal expansivity were determined.
