All chemical or material processes need energy. As we seek to decarbonize current processes and commercialize new ones, the scale-up/scale-out challenges can be daunting. As engineers, we see technical solutions. This presentation will pose 6 areas of learnings from recent startups as they seek to scale-up/scale-out. Some of these are from decades of product and process development and others are more unique to today’s decarbonization efforts.
