VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) and Excel are powerful tools that can be used for various applications in chemical engineering. They can be used in chemical engineering, especially for Data Analysis (Excel is commonly used in chemical engineering to analyze data from experiments and simulations. VBA can be used to automate data analysis and to create custom data analysis tools.) and Visualizations (Excel can be used to create visualizations of data and simulations. VBA can be used to create interactive visualizations.). In this study, VBA and Excel are used to develop a tool of ternary diagram for brine, oil, and green corrosion inhibitor from lignocellulosic resources. The necessary data for the ternary diagram are given by experiment measurement. This data will include the concentrations of the brine, oil, and corrosion inhibitor, as well as their respective densities and mass/volume in each liquid phase. The ternary diagram can be customized, by adding labels and adjusting the color scheme as necessary. The tool for ternary diagram of brine, oil, and green corrosion inhibitor can be created in this way. Green corrosion inhibitors are biodegradable and do not contain heavy metals or other toxic compounds. The physical properties such as concentration, solubility and multi-phase equilibrium has a great impact on the inhibition effect.
