(217c) Prof. L.-S. Fan’s Impacts on Industries - in Honor of the 2022 Receipt of the Warren K. Lewis Award

Prof. L.-S. Fan received the 2022 AIChE Warren K. Lewis Award to recognize his distinguished and continuing contributions to chemical engineering education, which is one of the most prestigious awards for education in chemical engineering. Prof. Fan has published many high-quality journal papers, patents and books including the widely adapted textbooks. He also spends extensive efforts for educational outreach activities, i.e., in various academic societies, science and engineering fairs, advisory board/editor of multiple scientific journals, mentoring young engineering faculty, advising over 200 graduate students and post-doctoral associates. Besides all these educational efforts in academic, Prof. Fan has also had a remarkable impact on industry. As either previous students or scholars from Prof. Fan’s group, we will talk about Prof. Fan’s impacts on different areas in industry including chemicals, oil/gas, clean energy, etc. The presenters are but not limit to the following:
