Research Interests in Bioregenerative Life Support Systems, Biotherapeutics Purification and Biomaterials Characterization

Biochemical systems engineering has created platforms for sustainable manufacturing and testing of biotherapeutics, nutraceuticals and functional materials. I cite examples of these platforms from my current and previous research projects. My interests as a post-doctoral researcher is creating data pipelines from in-process analytics in chemical processing systems, and instrumentation for characterization of biomaterials. These pipelines can be accomplished with data gathering tools coupled with analytical chemistry and material characterization laboratories in a biomass processing facility, and biotherapeutic protein-based diagnostics in a biomedical research facility. Sustaining the funding of these existing research enterprise facilities are also presented in my poster, from my experience as a grants support specialist. Ultimately, these data pipeline methods are tapped for the mutual benefit of regulatory agencies, evidence-based policymakers, and organization on international standards of quality.
